Planning

Planning for success

When it comes to planning, we prefer to be proactive. Which is why our clients trust us to support them on planning matters, large or small. And it’s not just the size of the project that we’re flexible on; we tailor our input to suit your requirements. Whether you need full-scale project management or bespoke, small-scale support, we can help you plan for success.

Our approach may feel different. But that’s because planning doesn’t stand still. So we are constantly asking if there is a better way.

"Extremely professional approach. Jamie's knowledge on the planning system is second to none! We were so impressed that we have decided to use nineteen47 on every scheme we take on."

Neil Stuart Homes

Objectives and Outcomes

We start with your objectives so that we can deliver the outcomes you need. We’ll be honest too. We’ll flag risks and potential problems as early as possible so you can avoid late arising issues. Finally, we’ll keep you informed throughout. In fact, if needed, we’ll be in touch so much, you’ll know us better than your colleagues!

As you might expect, we don’t just prepare and submit planning applications, we offer the full works:

  • Initial feasibility work and pre-application advice
  • Preparation and submission of planning appeals (including expert witness evidence at enquiries)
  • Environmental Impact Assessments
  • Public Consultation / Community Engagement
  • Certificate of Lawfulness
  • Long term strategic advice and land promotion
  • Section 106 / Community Infrastructure Levy Negotiation

And if you need additional technical consultants for your projects, we can recommend exceptional architects, highways consultants, ecologists, surveyors and many more.

Jamie Pyper

Director

Meet Jamie. Planning consultant and fellow co-founder, Jamie started his career in Local Government and has spent the past 19 years working in private consultancy. Happiest when trying to unpick a problem and find solutions, Jamie loves navigating planning obstacles for a diverse range of clients from large PLCs and establishments to SMEs and individuals.

One of Jamie’s favourite projects was achieving planning permission for a new animal care and equine college campus in the Midlands. He got to meet (well, stand relatively close to) Princess Anne at the opening ceremony (they’ve not kept in touch).

When Jamie isn’t scaling mountains of planning paperwork, he enjoys hill walking, and has been climbing the Scottish Munros for a number of years. He’s done 52 so far, so only 230 to go (not that we’re counting).
